About the department
Our Adult Intensive Care Unit is staffed 24 hours a day by specialist doctors, experienced and highly trained intensive care nurses and other allied health professionals. Every bed in the unit is equipped with state-of-the-art mechanical ventilators, patient monitors, infusion pumps and all other necessary equipment. To reduce the effects of limited mobility and prevent pressure sores, we use orthopaedic beds designed for intensive care, which can be adjusted to different positions, fully adapt to the contours of the patient’s body and minimise the risk of pressure sores.
